The mission of the Sun Fun Festival is to attract people to the Myrtle Beach area during early June. In addition, developing extensive publicity which will serve to attract additional vacationers to the area in subsequent weeks and months and create awareness of the Grand Strand.
The mission of the Sun Fun Pageant is to find two attractive and articulate young women to be ambassadors of the Grand Strand, who are willing to travel and promote the Chamber and area businesses.
How much fun can you have being Miss Sun Fun or Miss Sun Fun Teen? We asked Arielle Conklin, Miss Sun Fun Teen 2008. Here is what she had to say… “Being Miss Sun Fun Teen 2008 has truly been an experience that I will never forget. I have been able to do so much throughout my reign. I have met so many wonderful people including a few celebrities such as: American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini, and the gorgeous and talented Mario Lopez! I have also spent my year working along side the fabulous people of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. They have really treated me like family, and it is a great honor to be affiliated with them and the Sun Fun Festival.”
